Password Failed, Try Again

You know how it goes. You forgot your password to one of your dozens of accounts. You try every combination, but nothing works.

You get frustrated. You try again, this time adding the "!" since it needs a character, but still no dice.

You try so many times that they lock you out and force you to come back later.

At some point, you click the button "Forgot Password," and they help you make a new one.

Finally, you have a new password you'll forget in a month.

This common 21st-century experience is the perfect analogy for the spiritual quest.

The spiritual journey is a process of forgetting & remembering.

The password that unlocks our purpose is programmed into us when we're born.

As we grow up, we forget—we are wounded by parents, society, and life.

As we heal, we re-member these parts into wholeness and ultimately remember the divine spark within us.

Along the way, there are moments of exaltation and suffering.

No matter what happens, we can always try again.

Although we may feel locked out, unable to move forward, God's infinite mercy is like the button that says "Forgot Password" (although it's more like "Forgot Purpose").

Click it—Pray, Meditate, Invoke.

You'll get another chance—a new plan, insight, or inspiration.

Fail at that?

Click "Forgot Purpose" again.

Again, again, again—no questions asked.

And if you get locked out and have to take a break for a while?

Don't worry.

God knows what's best for you.

Trust that when you're ready, you'll get a new attempt.

Take solace in the fact that you can't get it wrong.

Life is an endless experiment with countless possibilities.

Keep going.

Click "Forgot Purpose".

Try Again.

Again.

Again.

The journey is the reward.
