Are you safe to dream?

In our weekly mastermind, my friend Darius Bashar said something that struck a chord.

He said, “Dreaming is a skill”.

Not the dreaming you do when you are asleep, although that too can be a skill.

Instead, he was referring to the people who let themselves imagine something grand—dreams that others may balk at as “unrealistic.”

We all learned the skill of dreaming at a young age.

Kids have wild fantasies, and because they’re kids, we allow them to.

They say—I want to be an astronaut!

We say—if you work hard, you can!

Now, imagine if your spouse said they wanted to become an astronaut.

You may dismiss them or laugh in their face.

Although an astronaut is an extreme example, it shows you’re not safe for them to dream around.

Or maybe you're the aspiring astronaut, but it wouldn't feel safe to share that dream with others.

It’s not their fault.

At some point, kids turn into adults. When we’re adults, dreams are squashed, and practicality rules.

In doing so, we stop practicing dreaming because it seems foolish.

The people in our lives have a certain perception about who we are. When we do something that contradicts their paradigms, it makes them uncomfortable, and they don’t know how to respond.

If we tell them we dream about writing a book, they may fake support but tell others, “Did you hear what she’s doing? Who does she think she is?”

I use the book example because I lived it. Writing and publishing a book was a HUGE dream. People laughed at me when they found out.

Life is too short not to have dreams.

Luckily, I had other support.

When I joined my first mastermind in 2014, I found myself around such dreamers—unrealistic was not in their vocabularies.

If you were to share your vision, they’d show how you were limiting yourself and encourage you to think bigger.

Darius’ comment made me realize that I learned the skill of dreaming from being in this group.

They showed me that not only was dreaming a skill but success in general.

With the support of my mastermind, I was able to stay disciplined, and after two years, I published Find Your Truth.

Once you set a goal beyond your capacity and achieve it, your view of what is possible will change.

Writing a book showed me that I could accomplish wild dreams.

Success is not endowed to special people.

It’s a skill.

But it’s hard to dream and work in a vacuum. It’s easy to get discouraged.

The fastest way to grow is to be in a community with others working on their dreams and developing their skills, too.

Do you have a group like this?

Do you have an environment where it’s safe to dream?

A place where you can share something expansive without getting laughed at?

A space where you can receive guidance, inspiration, accountability, & fresh ideas?

It’s dreamers who change the world.

I’m starting a Mastermind for meditation teachers, coaches, artists & dreamers who want to bring their mindful & spiritual gifts to life.

By joining, you will learn to develop the mindset, habits, and routines that lead to success.

You will receive the support of other dreamers and personal mentorship from me.

And while there’s already a lot of interest, I’ve decided to limit the initial group to 10 people.

Are you interested? If so, reply, MASTERMIND, and I’ll send you a form to apply.

It’s for you if:

You value Slow, Juicy Growth.

You understand that there is no overnight success and that anything worthwhile takes loving dedication and awareness to build.

You feel like you have a big-hearted soul gift to give to the world.

You’ve let yourself dream, you’ve taken the steps, done courses, but feel stagnant.

You feel you're on an island because your family and friends aren't on the same path.

You spend most of your work time alone trying to figure it out and seek a community of wellness & spiritual entrepreneurs who get what it's like.

Sound like you? If so, send me an email, and I’ll send you a form to apply.

PSA: This is NOT a course, program, or training.

It is a mastermind.

The difference is you are an integral part of the alchemical transformation. Because of this, I need to make sure you're a good fit for the group. Shoot me an email, and we'll discuss more.
