Self Doubt to Self Confidence (Client Story)
Kate came to me for coaching as someone who loved mindfulness and had just gotten certified as a teacher.
Her words when she reached out were:
"I'm struggling quite a bit with imposter syndrome and feel scared to make the leap into actual live teaching."
When we met, it was clear that Kate's teaching and content weren't the problem; it was her fear and doubt around valuing herself and what she did.
These were some of the voices that showed up:
"What's the point, there's so many people doing it."
"They're going to be bored."
"You won't explain it clearly; they won't come back."
"Just enjoy it as your passion, don't teach, stay safe."
By working together, she was able to unlock her own self-worth and "Find a bravery she didn't know she had."
We continued working together in different containers, and it's incredible to see what's unfolded.
Not only did Kate gain more confidence in her classes, which led her to show up and build her online platform, but she also did something incredible.
She approached her company about creating a new leg of the business: mindfulness and resilience-building programs.
By facing her fears again and again, she was able to transition from marketing director to a Mindfulness and Resilience Educator.
How cool is that!?
Kate went from "scared to make the leap into live teaching" to a job that didn't exist before she was brave enough to ask for it.
On the side, we've also worked to build her own brand, growing her Insight Timer audience to 1.3k followers.
What I love about Kate's story is it's hers.
It's different than mine.
Likely different than yours.
She took her unique skills and background and carved a way through.
We all have our unique path to follow.
That is what makes me different from a "Business coach." I don't have a 7-step system to show you.
What I'm good at is pulling out your gifts, working through your fears, and getting your mind, body, and soul working together.
