Unregulated, Uncertified

I’ve been sober for 10 years.

I’ve been a solopreneur for 10 years.

Our healing and creative journey often go hand in hand.

It’s as natural as an apple ripening on a tree—as we transform ourselves, our creativity opens, and the fruit of our healing makes a contribution to the world.

Many people who do this become teachers, healers, or guides.

They often are forced into the “coaching” category, which doesn't capture the essence of what they do.

The coaching industry gets a bad rap.

People want to make it wrong because it’s “unregulated.”

Sure, some toxic players will take advantage of an unregulated system. Discernment is important.

But does anyone question this need for something to be “regulated”?

Why are we so obsessed with following the rules laid out by others?

Maybe because we’re still waiting for someone to give us a gold star and say: “Good job. You’re doing it right.”

If we stack enough letters after our name and certifications on our wall, people will think we’re legit.

However, that’s not empowerment—it’s dependence.

We’re brainwashed for approval because we don’t trust our innate resourcefulness, and we don’t trust in the intelligence of our Soul.

Anyone who wants something to be “regulated” should spend a week in nature. They'll see nothing regulated by anything—Yet everything is in harmony and unfolding exactly as it should.

God is the Great Regulator.

Nature doesn't need a certification board.

What if our human nature was part of that same unfolding?

What if we are encoded with everything we need to express and thrive?

Remember, We are a speck of dust on a planet spinning through outer space in a universe that is infinitely expanding….Yet we are scared to post about our new business because “What will my sister-in-law think?”

It’s helpful to remember:

It won’t matter.
NO ONE CARES.
We’re going to die.

If we can feel those things—in the best way possible—we become free of the little box we’ve put ourselves in.

Free to:

Take the leap.
Start the business.
Share the post.
Write the book.
Say the thing.

And yes, get the certification if it calls to you—but don’t think it will give you the worthiness you seek.

As our buddy Joseph Campbell said,

“If you can see your path laid out in front of you step by step, you know it’s not your path. Your own path you make with every step you take. That’s why it’s your path.”

Put in other words—If you’re following someone elses “method,” there's no room for your unique gifts to blossom.

One day, I want to create a Coaching Un-certification program— where you don’t throw out your training—you learn how to use it as scaffolding for your essence to come through.

While I haven’t created that Un-certification program yet,

My group Meraki Mastermind is the closest thing I offer to helping you grow your business your way— supported by others on the same journey.

Meraki Mastermind is for meditation teachers, wellness coaches, and creative guides who are following a calling, and wanting to build a business from their soul.

It’s a space to clarify what makes you you—and be witnessed, challenged, and supported by others doing the same.

Doors for the next Meraki cohort are open!

No certificate.

Just real momentum, loving support, and a deep commitment to your Soul’s work.
