Want to succeed on Insight Timer?

I'm fortunate to know many teachers who have made Insight Timer a core pillar of their business.

I notice they all share a few traits.

To find out whether you share them, ask yourself these questions.

Am I willing to commit to showing up every week for at least two years?

My friend Darius Bashar is one of the fastest-growing teachers of the last 6 years.

Know why?

He's published a new meditation. Every. Single. Week.

That's hundreds of meditations compounding, week after week.

He doesn't look at the numbers.

He just creates and ships.

One way he does it is through "Positive People Pleasing."

He hosts a weekly live meditation, which gives him the accountability to show up and not let others down.

During my expansion era on Insight Timer, I was teaching classes at a meditation studio. After each class, I would record the meditation and upload it.

I encourage you to create this kind of accountability for yourself. My Month of Momentum Mastermind will help you do just that.

Darius also shares his meditations as an artist, which brings us to the next question.

Do I take risks in my content?

I saw a post in an Insight Timer Facebook group where a teacher shared a comment from a listener saying her meditation saved her life.

The teacher said she almost didn't post it because it was too personal. (Shout-out to Wilderness Dawn.)

THIS.

I want you to hit publish and feel like you just stepped outside naked.

When you feel like "maybe I shouldn't post this," is exactly when you should.

The problem is that when people learn how to guide a meditation, they can come to believe that's the only way to do it.

Treat your meditation like an artist.

Artists break the rules.

If you're a musician, explore guidance behind your music.

If you never tell stories, maybe it's time to experiment with talks and let people into your world.

Breaking the mold is what helps people connect with you, and that's what turns listeners into true fans.

Do I love the Insight Timer community so much that I would share for free?

The most successful people in any field work on things that are rewarding for their own sake.

Before publishing his Tao Mastery course, my friend Charles Freligh said he didn't care if Insight Timer rejected it. He was so proud of his work, he'd share it elsewhere for free.

Insight Timer did not reject it. And that course has clocked over 2,000 *daily* plays for years. (You can do the math on what he's earned.)

If you're on Insight Timer with the energy of expectation and dependence, you will struggle.

You have to fall in love with the process and detach from outcomes.

The paradox is that's how you succeed.

Curious, what are your answers to these questions?

If you're ready to take risks, find your unique voice, and ship consistently, I’m now enrolling in the next cohort of Month of Momentum.

This is a 40-day coaching intensive for 10 Insight Timer teachers to help you stop overthinking and write, record, publish, repeat.

We begin March 12th.

Enrollment is capped at 10.

I may even invite Darius and Charles to join us as guest teachers.
